We ZOOMED right into this week with Camp Across America! This is always a fun week as we get to go on an adventure and “travel” to different locations. Some of the places we explored were Yellowstone National Park where we learned all about canyons, alpine rivers, hot springs and geysers. We hiked through the Grand Canyon National Park as well as the Black Hills in South Dakota where we saw Mount Rushmore and lastly, traveled through Assateague Island State Park where we saw a variety of wildlife.
We even went “camping” by wearing our pajamas to school and ended it with s’mores by the “fire”!
Here are some fun Camping at Home ideas that you can do with your family:
- Pitch a tent
- Build a fort
- Go on a Scavenger Hunt in your backyard
- Make a nature collage
- Have a Treasure Hunt
- Play backyard Bingo
- Cook and eat outside
