We’ve had a SPOOKTACULAR week of Tricks & Treats! Both centers participated in a classroom pumpkin contest and our Owl Classroom at our Glen Burnie location was the winner! Woohoo!

On Tuesday, we had a celebration and a parade! The teachers set up stations where the children played festive games, activities and art and then enjoyed a yummy lunch! A huge Thank You to the families that helped make this day successful!

One of our Special Days this week, was PJ day (our favorite day, especially the day after Halloween 🙂 )!

We also want to give a shout out to Great American Photo for coming out to both of our centers for our Fall Picture Day and always taking the perfect pictures for our families and team!

Also, a HUGE Thank You to everyone that participated in our Claire’s Gourmet fundraiser!

As we move into November, we are focusing on Connections/Relationships and Mindfulness in Positive Psychology! Relationships and Connections are a great topic, especially during the upcoming holidays. Here are some fun and effective activities to do at home that are affordable, easy, and practical ways to spend purposeful family time together for building strong family relationships.

  1. Enjoying meals together and discuss your day with each other.
  2. Technology free zones
  3. Reading together
  4. Take a walk together and share what you see
  5. Take turns sharing a hobby
  6. Family Game Night!
  7. Create a family playlist
  8. Try new experiences/places (museum, library, park, etc.)
  9. Movie night in a fort
  10. Share household chores

Be sure to come back next week as we discuss more on the topic of Connections/Relationships and Mindfulness!
