Welcome! We are so excited to be back as we took a break during the summer to focus on having fun and getting ready for our fall school year! To recap, the children and teachers had so much fun during our summer when we focused on camp themes, like Camp Carnival, Camp Waterworks Camp Mad Science, and Camp Art and Movement Sensation to name a few.
A huge Thank you again to our special guests for coming out to our centers, like Jumpbunch for our field day fun, Goldfish Swim School in Gambrills to discuss water safety, and Maryland Therapeutic Riding in Crownsville where we learned how to take care of animals and met their goats as well as the owners of Holiday Farm in West River to discuss all about the farm.
Some of our favorite dress-up days during the summer were Pajama Day, Wacky Day, and Pirate or Princess Day.
We splashed during Water Day, face painting fun during Carnival week, became pirates, and searched for treasure right on our playground. We harvested our garden and made a yummy salad, and made fun-themed crafts as well as science experiments.
As we close our summer out, we want to make sure we are thanking a few more people!
We recently updated our website and Chrissy Rey, owner of Pongos, made the process so smooth and easy. She was so helpful and patient through the process and now we have a fabulous new website!
Also, a huge Thank You to Bethany Swain, owner of Swain Domain, for coming to the centers to take professional photos to update the website!

We have been working with Elizabeth Harris Nutrition and Wellness to do a year-long wellness program with our teachers and staff to better support their overall health and wellness. This is not a diet program or incentive to lose weight, it’s education and training on how to best fuel our bodies, practice self-care, increase overall health satisfaction, and model health-promoting behaviors to the children we work with. This has been so impactful as we have gained so much knowledge and absolutely love working with Elizabeth!
Last, but not least, we celebrated our 20th anniversary in July! It is a privilege and an honor to celebrate this huge milestone with all of our current and past families, children, and especially our team of staff. We will be celebrating in late September and appreciate everyone that impacted our lives and will always have a special place in our hearts for all of you.
