Summer may be coming to an end, but we are leaving it with full hearts and so many wonderful memories!
As we wrap up our summer camp season, we’ve been reflecting on just how much fun our children and teachers had together. This summer was all about exploring, creating, moving, discovering, and making memories through exciting weekly camp themes and hands-on experiences.
From Camp Carnival and Camp Waterworks to Camp Mad Science and Camp Art & Movement Sensation, every week brought something new!
We splashed during Water Day, enjoyed face-painting fun during Carnival Week, became pirates and princesses, and searched for treasure right on our playground. We harvested vegetables from our garden and made a yummy salad, created fun-themed crafts, experimented with science, danced, moved, played, and, most importantly, had lots of fun together!
Our favorite dress-up days were also a highlight. Pajama Day, Wacky Day, and Pirate or Princess Day brought out some seriously creative looks and plenty of smiles!

We are so grateful to the special guests who joined us throughout the summer and helped make our camp experience even more memorable.
A big THANK YOU to JumpBunch for bringing the fun to our Field Day, Maryland Therapeutic Riding in Crownsville for teaching us about caring for animals and introducing us to their goats and horses, and Willy Woo Woo and Eco Adventures for bringing plenty of energy and excitement to our summer!
These experiences gave our children opportunities to learn, explore, ask questions, try new things, and experience the world beyond our classrooms.
Now It’s Time for Fall!
While we’re sad to say goodbye to our summer camp adventures, we’re excited about what’s ahead!
Next week, Bright Beginning will be CLOSED for Teacher In-Service Week and Labor Day. Our teachers will be spending this time preparing classrooms, planning, learning, and getting ready to welcome everyone back for a brand-new school year.

We’re looking forward to settling into our fall routines, welcoming new friends, reconnecting with returning families, and creating another year filled with opportunities for children to learn, grow, build confidence, and thrive.
